Chef / Kitchen Manager

Time requirement: Full time, salaried position
Location: Carmel
Description: The Chef/Kitchen Manager will lead daily back of house operations and menu development and execution. This position is integral to the Garden Table brand and the customer experience. This position requires leadership and time management skills, as well as a passion for creative food.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ordering according to pars and needs, ensuring order accuracy
  • Checking in deliveries
  • Ensuring all prep work is complete as needed daily
  • Managing BOH staff schedules and staffing needs
  • Costing and pricing of all menu items
  • Creating seasonal menus and specials
  • Ensure all kitchen practices and cleanliness go above and beyond Health Code requirements
  • Work with Director of Operations to watch food spending/cost as well as labor cost and make necessary adjustments
  • Work with Front of House GM to ensure smooth service, great customer experiences, and restaurant success
  • Work with Front of House GM, Director of Operations, and Owner for menu development, rollout, and staff training

 

General Manager

Time requirement: Full time, salaried position
Location: Carmel
Description: The General Manager will be managing daily operations at our new Carmel location, opening in June 2022. This position requires previous restaurant management experience, attention to detail, a positive disposition and ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management and Execution of day to day operations
  • Ordering coffee and alcohol according to pars and needs
  • Checking in deliveries and writing checks as needed
  • Ensuring order accuracy
  • Assisting in creation of seasonal coffee and alcohol menus
  • Managing staff schedules and staffing needs
  • Work with Director of Operations to watch budget as well as labor cost and make necessary adjustments
  • Lead and train all front of house staff
  • Keep staff informed of any specials or changes for the shift
  • Work with the chef to ensure smooth service, great customer experiences, and restaurant success
  • Prepare weekly cash deposits and ensure that everything is accounted for and correct
  • Check daily Credit Card tips
  • Work with Chef, Director of Operations, and Ownership for menu development, rollout, and staff training
  • Keep pricing and menus up to date in POS and Third Party systems
  • Prepare payroll and submit to Director of Operation

 

ALL POSITIONS

Location: Carmel, opening summer 2022
Description:  Our third location, located in Midtown Carmel on the Monon Trail, opens this Summer 2022. We are hiring for all positions: chef, general manager, assistant manager, servers, bartenders, baristas, line + prep cooks.
